ELECTIONS

Contributions are made to the Tampa Jails and Institutions Committee to buy Big Books, along with contributions to Central Office in Tampa, and AA World Services Office in NY.

SoberStock is not an easy task. It has taken literally thousands of volunteer hours to make it what it is today and in keeping with A.A.'s concept of the "Spirit of Rotation" we need fellow A.A.'s to come forth
and help us in any way you can to keep this wonderful event alive!

Please be sure to read through this web page carefully to see if you can help us - we really need you!

This is not an election for Volunteers! It is an election for Committee Members. In order to stand in for these seats, we ask that you be a member of AA and at least 2 years of sobriety.

We have 2 types of Committee Members:

Rotating Chairs: These are positions that would be able to be filled by most people, with little or no experience required. These seats have a 2 year rotation. The Rotating Chair positions are outlined later in this page and is basically what we are having elections for in July. Anyone interested in taking on a position MUST BE ABLE TO COMMIT TO ATTENDING THE SOBERSTOCK MEETING, 1 SATURDAY EVERY MONTH, SUBMIT MONTHLY REPORTS AND ATTEND SOBERSTOCK. As the SoberStock date approaches,
we normally meet more frequently, usually 2 times a month, 2 months away from the event. All chairs must have access to email as well.

Legacy Positions: These positions are usually filled by professionals who have experience in their specific field. These positions can be held until the person feels they no longer can commit to volunteer their time to SoberStock, OR if there is someone who is qualified, that really wants to take the position. There are details below if you are interested in a Legacy Position.

Here is the breakout of job descriptions that we are currently looking for - All Legacy Positions are highlighted in Yellow.
